Description
SALE PENDINGThe Chevelle was Chevrolet's mid-size offering from 1964 to 1978, available in a variety of body styles from sedans, wagons, coupes and convertibles. For many, 1970 is the peak year, offering the best of both style and performance; however, it still wasn't enough for the owner of this particular Chevelle convertible. The Roadster Shop was commissioned to transform it into a one-off masterpiece unlike anything on the road. They started with from the ground up, with a brand-new chassis for the body to sit on. The chassis was equipped with an all-new coilover suspension, big Wilwood disc brakes on all four corners and a stainless-steel exhaust. Sitting between the new frame rails up front sits an LS7 from Turn Key Engine Supply, backed by a TCI 6-speed automatic transmission.Outside, the goal was to keep the car's body lines close to stock. Modifications are limited to subtle things, like tightened bumper gaps and a cowl hood. The car is finished in PPG Chili Red, accented by matte graphite SS style strips and trim. Completing the look is a set of Forgeline S03P wheels painted to match. The interior features all custom upholstery, Ididit steering column, MOMO steering wheel and a custom-fabricated aluminum dash and center console with Auto Meter Carbon Fiber series gauges. The stereo features an Alpine head unit and amplifier, along with Boston Acoustic speakers. This is an opportunity to own a truly unique custom piece built by one of the premier hot rod builders in the country.
