Description
The legendary Z06 moniker dates back to 1962, when Zora Arukus-Duntov and his team wanted to find a way around the ban imposed by GM management on SCCA racing. The idea was to offer a Corvette with a high-performance option package that could be campaigned competitively by private teams. That package became known as RPO Z06 when it debuted in a one-year-only run for 1963. The nameplate wouldn't be seen again until 2001 on the fifth-generation Corvette, but since then has been in continuous use for Chevrolet's top road-course-ready Corvette. Now in the seventh generation, the Z06 is the most powerful production Corvette to date, offering 650hp from a 6.2-liter supercharged engine. In order to harness the power through the corners, engineers equipped the car with magnetic suspension and dampers, electronic limited-slip differential and Brembo brakes all around. All of this combines for an official 0-60 time of 2.95 seconds and a quarter-mile time of 10.95 seconds at 127 mph.With an original MSRP of just under $100,000, this 2016 Z06 is still in brand-new condition, with just over 3,000 miles on the odometer. Fully equipped with the top-of-the-line 3LZ option package, it has premium features like power leather seats with custom yellow stitching, power heated mirrors with auto dimming, heated and ventilated seats, suede microfiber steering wheel, premium audio system with surround sound, performance data/video recorder and much more. It's equipped with an 8-speed automatic transmission and remote start.
