SALE PENDINGThe Type 2 marked the second generation of Volkswagens popular transported bus. Though overall retaining a similar shape, many design characteristics were changed from the original Type 1. Instead of multiple, smaller windows, 3 larger 'bay' windows were put in place as well as a 1-piece wrap-around windshield up front. The double rear doors were dropped in favor of a single right-side sliding door and all hinges were now internal, to improve aerodynamicsThis is a fine example of a 1973 Volkswagen bus; it features a 1600cc dual port motor backed by a 4-speed manual transmission. Equipped with bamboo floors and bamboo striping and the blue and white custom paint is not standard VW décor. The motor and the transmission have both been rebuilt and have minimal miles since the build. The interior has room for 7 on the custom reupholstered seats with plenty of extra storage, and features bamboo flooring, along with a modern stereo and speakers. Outside the bus is finished in two tone blue and white custom paint, with a unique bamboo pinstripe down the body line. It features matching blue wheels with dog dish hubcaps and a roof rack for extra storage space.
