Description
Leading a charmed life with a rich history and past, this 1991 Land Rover Defender 90 factory soft-top has a compelling story and is unbelievably rare – equating to desirability for the shrewd Defender collector. Documented with a British Museum Letter of Authenticity and conforming to all import paperwork and regulations (Customs Homeland Security Entry Summary), this rare Defender was built in the U.K. as a special order for Land Rover France. The vehicle’s remarkable and outstanding condition helps prove the gentle wanderings it enjoyed near the South of France for practically all its life. Sporting its 2.5-liter turbo diesel engine with a 5-speed manual transmission and matching-numbers drivetrain, it was built November 8, 1990, and spent most of its next 26 years in France. Presented in its correct Pembroke Gray exterior with a gray cloth interior, it has only 57,000 original miles. Imported in to Orange County, California, on November 16, 2016, this Defender is now titled and registered in Arizona. Having passed all the correct importation standards, all documentation will be transferred to the next owner. Freshening of the entire vehicle including paintwork and detailing has been completed in the past few years. The vehicle shows no signs of corrosion or leaks, and runs and drives very well. One of the few factory soft-top Defender 90s to exist in the United States, and carrying with it a storied past, this rare find awaits a new owner to begin the next chapter in its life.
