Description
With the pony car wars in full swing, Plymouth saw the struggling sales of the Barracuda model and realized they needed to make some changes. 1970 they rolled out a new version on built on the popular 'E-body' platform shared with its cousin, the Dodge Challenger. The base trim level was the Barracuda, but they also offered a more upscale Gran Coupe ? and for those chasing high performance, they had the 'Cuda. The 'Cuda trim was available with a variety of engine options, from the potent 340 to the monstrous 426 HEMI backed with a 3-speed TorqueFlite automatic or 4-speed manual transmissionThis 1970 'Cuda features a 340ci engine with automatic transmission. It's been repainted in Limelight Green with a black interior. From new, the car was ordered with an extensive list of options ? so many that two fender tags were required, instead of the one that most cars had. The impressive list of options for the exterior includes a vinyl roof, Elastomeric front bumper, left- and right-hand chromed racing mirrors, fender-mounted turn signals, and dual exhaust with chrome tips and hood pins. The interior features bucket seats, power windows, air conditioning, cruise control and a Rallye dash. Additionally the car is equipped with power brakes and steering, and has been tastefully modified with a set Weld Racing 5-spoke wheels and a modern stereo.
