Description
In the world of custom-built cars, some are built for performance and some are built for looks. This 1955 Chevrolet 3100 is built for both. Finished in radiant Galaxy Silver metallic paint, the exterior features several custom touches like shaved door handles, custom roll pan with integrated taillights and a frenched-in antennae. Completing the exterior look are a set of staggered-fit Billet Specialties wheels with mini-tubs in the bed. Under the hood sits a 383ci stroker engine with an MSD Atomic fuel injection system, Edelbrock intake, roller tappet cam, Eagle crank & connecting rods and March Performance aluminum serpentine system. The truck rides on a custom Roadster Shop chassis with coilover suspension, equipped with Wilwood 4-wheel disc brakes and a Strange Engineering rear end. Additionally a new fuel cell was installed, along with a custom stainless steel exhaust. Inside, the pickup's custom interior includes a black and red two-tone leather upholstered seat, custom molded door panels, custom carpet, painted dash and matching two-tone steering wheel. A number of other comfort features have been added, like an Ididit polished billet tilt steering column, air conditioning, power windows and a modern stereo. Completing everything is a set of five Autometer gauges fit inside the original gauge cluster cutout.With hours of custom fabrication and tuning, this truck has been dialed in and is ready for the show and street.
