Description
-SALE PENDING-Although 1967 was originally planned to be the first year of the C3 generation, Chevrolet postponed the introduction of the new model and instead decided to carry over the C2 body style for one more year. However, engineers still gave the car several updates to differentiate it from the 1966 model, including cosmetic tweaks, like five smaller fender vents instead of three larger ones and a single backup light mounted above the license plate. The engine choices were also updated, with horsepower levels ranging from 300 all the way up to 435. Today, the 1967 is arguably one of the most desirable and valuable of the C2 Corvettes, making it a staple in any muscle car collection. Finished in Sunfire Yellow, this convertible features its original, matching-numbers L79 327 small-block engine rated at 350hp. Backing up the engine is the original 4-speed manual transmission. The car was treated to a concours-level, frame-off restoration, which has been photo-documented in a binder that comes with the car. Once the car was completed, it was shown at several NCRS events, earning Top Flight honors as well as receiving the Duntov Mark of Excellence Award, an honor bestowed upon only the best cars. Since the restoration, the car has been very well-maintained and properly cared for. Included in the sale are the binder of restoration photos and receipts, NCRS judging sheets, award certificates and various other documentation.
