Description
Often referred to as an “E46” by enthusiasts, the BMW 3 series of this generation was first introduced in 2000 and ran all the way to 2006. Although the E46 name encompasses all variations of the 3 series, the most popular and desirable is the top-of-the-line M3. Powered by a 3.2-liter inline-6 engine with 333hp, buyers had the option of two transmissions: an electronically controlled sequential manual gearbox (SMG for short), and a true 6-speed manual for those who wanted to more pure sports car feel. By the end of the production run, the E46 M3 had racked up award after award from the automotive press, and was the benchmark of performance for sport coupes and convertibles. This 2006 convertible model is an excellent example of what made the E46 so popular. Finished in Titanium Silver Metallic, it sports all of the original paintwork, equipped with the optional 19” wheels and has a clean vehicle history. The inside is trimmed in gray leather and features a Harmon Kardon stereo. With the popularity of these cars from new, many of them have changed hands multiple times and racked up high miles in the process, making this car incredibly unique with just three owners and 21,100 miles from new. Additionally, it has the highly desirable 6-speed Getrag manual transmission instead of the SMG unit. It comes with multiple keys and a custom-fit car cover to help keep it in showroom condition. As time goes on, the E46 is rising in popularity and getting harder to find in such original condition. With a convertible top, low miles, a known history and a true manual transmission examples like this are far and few between.
